hybrid car
Hybrids are those that use traditional fuels with electric motors/engines to improve low-speed power output and fuel consumption. Depending on the type of fuel, it can be divided into two types: gasoline hybrid and diesel hybrid. In the domestic market, the mainstream of hybrid vehicles is gasoline hybrid, and the development of diesel hybrid vehicles in the international market is also very fast.
Pure electric car
Pure electric vehicles, as the name implies, are mainly electric-powered vehicles. Most of the vehicles are driven by electric motors. Some vehicles have electric motors in the engine compartment. Some of them directly use the wheels as the rotors of four electric motors. The difficulty lies in the power storage technology.
Fuel cell vehicle
A fuel cell vehicle is a car that is powered by a chemical reaction using hydrogen, methanol, or the like, and is driven by a motor. The energy of the battery is chemically converted by hydrogen and oxygen, rather than being burned and directly converted into electrical energy. The chemical reaction process of fuel cells does not produce harmful products. Therefore, fuel cell vehicles are pollution-free vehicles. The energy conversion efficiency of fuel cells is 2 to 3 times higher than that of internal combustion engines. Therefore, from the perspective of energy utilization and environmental protection, fuel cell vehicles are An ideal vehicle.
Hydrogen powered car
Hydrogen-powered vehicles are a truly zero-emission vehicle that emits pure water. It has the advantages of no pollution, zero emissions, and abundant reserves. Therefore, hydrogen-powered vehicles are the ideal alternative to traditional vehicles. Compared with traditional power vehicles, hydrogen-powered vehicles cost at least 20% higher. China Changan Automobile completed the first high-efficiency zero-emission hydrogen engine ignition in China in 2007, and exhibited the first hydrogen-powered concept sports car “hydrogen process” in China at the 2008 Beijing Auto Show.
Gas car
The gas has a single component, high purity, uniform mixing with the air and complete combustion, low CO and particulate emissions, and good engine start-up and running performance at low temperatures. The disadvantage is that its transport performance is worse than liquid fuel, the engine's volumetric efficiency is low, the ignition delay is long, and the power is reduced. This type of vehicle uses a dual fuel system, a compressed natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas system and a gasoline or diesel combustion system, which can easily be transferred from one system to another. This type of vehicle is mainly used in urban buses.
Methanol car
A car that replaces petroleum fuel with methanol.
Aerodynamic car
Using air as an energy carrier, the air is compressed to more than 30 MP using an air compressor and then stored in a gas storage tank. When the car needs to be started, the compressed air is released to drive the starter motor. The advantage is that there is no emission and less maintenance. The disadvantage is that the power supply and air pressure (energy output) need to be attenuated as the mileage is extended, and the safety of the high pressure gas.
Flywheel energy storage car
Using the inertial energy storage of the flywheel, the residual energy of the engine when the load is not full, and the energy when the vehicle grows downhill and decelerates, is fed back to a generator to generate electricity, and then drives or accelerates the flywheel rotation. The flywheel uses a magnetic levitation method to rotate at a high speed of 70,000 rpm. As an auxiliary in hybrid vehicles, the advantages are energy efficiency, high light weight, high energy storage, fast energy in and out, long maintenance and long life. The disadvantage is that the cost is high and the steering of the vehicle is affected by the flywheel gyro effect.
Super capacitor car
Supercapacitors are capacitors that utilize the principle of an electric double layer. Under the action of the electric field generated by the electric charge on the two plates of the supercapacitor, an opposite charge is formed at the interface between the electrolyte and the electrode to balance the internal electric field of the electrolyte. This positive and negative charges are between two different phases. The contact surface is arranged at an opposite position with a very short gap between positive and negative charges. This charge distribution layer is called an electric double layer, so the capacitance is very large. (This car has been used in the Expo 2010 Shanghai World Expo site)
